Before, During, and After
The Sugaring Process
The day before your sugaring appointment, moisturize your skin and avoid body scrubs or other forms of exfoliation. Avoid applying tanning creams for 24–48 hours before your appointment.
On the day of your sugaring appointment, avoid applying body lotions or butters. Avoid swimming, sunbathing, and tanning beds, and wear loose, comfortable clothing that won’t rub or irritate freshly sugared skin.
The day after sugaring, keep your skin hydrated. For the next 24 hours, avoid strenuous physical activity or excessive sweating that may cause the sugared area to rub against skin or fabric.
